Label unwinder – questions & answers
Answers to common questions about the Label unwinder and handling label rolls.
Up to what roll size does the label unwinder work?
Up to 500 mm outer diameter and 20 kg per roll. This also conveys large master rolls that are no longer worth pulling off by hand.
Which core size is the series fit?
From the works it is 76 mm. Other core diameters for your label rolls are made as a special version on request.
Which liner widths can be guided?
The series guide is 100 mm and suits widespread label formats. Narrower and wider webs are supplied as special widths.
Can the pay-off pace be controlled?
Yes. The supplied control meters the speed steplessly across the full range and thereby matches the liner pay-off to the printer or applicator.
Is the unwinder suited to inside and outside winding?
Yes. The running direction is reversible, so inside- and outside-wound rolls are processed without any conversion.
Do delicate thermal labels stay protected?
The tension arm holds web tension constant and catches start-up and stop. Print image and die-cut contour thus stay clean even on thin liner.
How is the unit commissioned?
It arrives plug-ready for 230 V with built-in control. You connect it to the mains and align it ahead of the printer or applicator.
Can the unwinder be tied into an existing labelling line?
Yes. As the manufacturer we realise special dimensions and coupling with existing labelling or converting lines directly in the special-machine shop.
