Label unwinder
The torsionally stiff aluminium profile takes label rolls up to 500 mm outer diameter and 20 kg. As a series feature the roll runs on a 76 mm core, while other core sizes arise on request. A 100 mm liner guide covers widespread label formats, and special widths are feasible.
A strong motor draws the liner off the reel, metered by the supplied control across the full speed range from zero to one hundred percent. Start-up and stop are cushioned by the tension arm, which steadies web tension so that thin backing is neither overstretched nor crumpled.
Gentleness comes first in material handling: thermal and thermal-transfer labels cannot take jerky pull. The unwinder passes the liner along at stable tension, so print image and die-cut contour run through cleanly. The reversible running direction processes inside- and outside-wound rolls reliably.
The unit ships plug-ready for 230 V together with its control. Differing dimensions for core and liner width, as well as connection to existing labelling and converting lines, are realised by our special-machine shop straight from the works in Arnsberg.
Users often place the unwinder ahead of a thermal-transfer printer or applicator: under motor support the full roll runs off, the dispenser separates each label, and the labeller applies it. In converting, the calm pay-off secures uninterrupted throughput even with large master rolls.
Drive and control around the label roll
The motor winds liner and labels off evenly while the built-in control holds web tension at a constant value. Print image and dispensing edge therefore stay repeatable.

Why the Label unwinder?
Actively driven roll
Rather than merely dragging the liner through, the motor actively turns the label roll. Across the stepless range from zero to full speed, it synchronises pay-off with the dispenser or print head.
Large master rolls with ease
Where tabletop dispensers and hand feeding reach their limits, the unwinder keeps supplying: outer diameters up to 500 mm and roll weights up to 20 kg run off the mandrel under control.
Plug-and-run on 230 V
The full control sits inside the housing. One plug into the 230 V socket is enough and the unit works, with no separate control cabinet needed at the labelling station.
Docking onto the labelling line
Thanks to the tension arm and a sturdy aluminium profile, pull towards the applicator, inspection or finishing stays even. The unwinder lines up ahead of existing labelling stations.
